IoT? IoT!

IoT gadget:
1. You wakeup and it tells you how many hours you had a good sleep.
2. While brushing it tells you how strong your root canal is or how weak your teeth is.
3. While taking bath it suggests you how much soap/shampoo/conditioner you should be using to protect your skin/hair.
4. While getting ready for school/office/shopping it tells you how much face cream you should apply in order to protect yourself from outside temperature.
5. While walking it tells you how many steps you have walked and whether you should take a cab from that particular place or you should walk some more distance to keep yourself fit.
6. While eating it tells you how many calories should be consumed to keep your heart kidney liver etc in optimum condition.
7. It will suggest you whether you should drink coffee / tea / milk so that your cholestrol level is maintained.
8. It will even suggest you to have onion chutney or coconut chutney in order to be healthy.

Yes it analyzes you, tracks your behaviour, collect data about you and suggest you what you should be doing.

A great concept that has already started occupying our lives. But how careful are companies about your data when they build such devices. Is security their first priority? Developer who develops it has any idea about what type of attacks can be launched on these devices and how to tackle it? How does a developer instruct his device to differentiate between good behaviour analysis data and bad behaviour analysis data? What happens if suggestions are given on bad behaviour analysis data? Will that make a human good bad or bad bad?

All the collected data goes to another assigned client (if patient then doctor, if thief then cop), would you believe data would be safe with them? What if data gets deviated, how secured will you be in this connected world? Is paper work just enough for your data?

We are already getting addicted to IoT but if our daily routine gets controlled by a gadget how good will our commonsense be in near future? Who are we when we are not controlled by ourselves? Will humanity serve it’s ultimate goal with connected devices controlling humanity?

I believe giving limited entry/access to analyze our personal life and choosing IoT carefully we can get a great deal out of IoT.
